This is the last chance for the public to visit the Field School building that was completed in 1950 and is being replaced this summer by a new building. A celebration of Linda's life was held Friday June 13, 2014, at her home, 80 Dudley Street, Marlborough. Her daughter, Julia Head, graduated from Weston High School in 2005. Linda Butler (age 69), long-time Middle School Assistant Principal and English teacher (she retired in 2006), passed away June 5, 2014, after battling a brain tumor for 16 months. Poulin of Marlboro, and two sisters, Pamela L. Mikulicz, of Deerfield Beach FL, daughter Ashley D. Mikulicz, son-in-law Matthew Mikulicz and granddaughter Lilah G. He was known to his granddaughter as "Grampy" and he always looked forward to video chatting with her. He was a caring and loving father, who never hesitated to help his daughters when they needed him. He was a jack-of-all trades, fixing everything around the house that he built with his own two hands, and maintaining the surrounding property. He was a longtime car enthusiast, and everyone recognized him when he passed by, driving his bright orange, vintage 1974 Volkswagen "Thing" which he restored himself. He played bass guitar in the band, The Velvet Touch, performing at local venues in the 70s and 80s, and more recently, sang in the church choir at Christ Lutheran Church. He worked as an electrician and was a member of the IBEW electrical union 363, where he taught apprenticeship. He achieved the rank of Major in the US Army Reserves, and earlier in life served in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Samson, as well as the National Guard. He graduated from Marlboro High School and received his Associate's degree at Dutchess Community College. He was born in Rockville Centre, Long Island, the son of James C. Timothy James Poulin, longtime resident of Marlboro, New York, passed away on the night of December 25.
